( Family picture at the beartooth pass lookout)
When it comes to adventures and pictures, I just can't get enough. It is so hard for me to narrow all the snapshots down and just put a few up. So I hope you enjoy them.

The entire thing was a blast. Tyler worked so hard to make sure I had a good time and it was wonderful (all except the actual sleeping part)! We drove up and found a great camping spot in the valley by beartooth pass near Red Lodge (where we went on our honeymoon). We set up camp and ate our delicious tinfoil dinners, all the while Alex was running around everywhere laughing and laughing. Alex really enjoys the outdoors, but this was like enjoyment to the 10th degree.(In the morning it was pretty cold so we covered Alex's hands up and then gave her Jose to play with. She latched onto that doll and then turned and sprinted away from us.)

Tyler was a bit unnerved by the fact that there was only a link fence separating us from the animals, but it was so cool to be able to get so close.

I could have reached out and touched this mountain lion if I had dared, there was a rail separating us with about a 2 foot space. This particular animal was so friendly to adults that a worker called it like a kitty over to the fence and then petted its face. For some reason it hated kids though, so whenever it looked at Alex it would growl at her. A little unnerving.
Ok, So this weekend Tyler and I finally did something that we have been wanting to do FOREVER. We took Alex camping.

When it came time for bed,Oh man, Alex HATED wearing her snowsuit to bed, and she HATES being covered by a blanket. She screamed forever until Tyler so graciously took her outside and walked around until she fell asleep. It felt like she woke up every 2 hours that night, Tyler even got up and walked around with her again at like 3 am. It was cold and no one got much sleep at all. We ended up getting up and making breakfast at about 5 am. I'm sure everyone hated us, luckily we were pretty far from any other campers (and they all probably hated the camper playing Sublime full blast at bed time much more than us.)
(our 5 am family picture. No one was very excited to be awake)We had a wonderful breakfast of bacon and eggs. The bacon went from raw to charcoal in about 3 seconds so the dog got a lovely meal, but all in all it was a good morning. We went for a drive further into the mountains and saw some fantastic scenery. When we hit the end of the road Alex was magically asleep despite the insainly rocky road we traveled on, and Tyler looked about ready to join her, so we didn't go on our planned hike.
After that we drove up the beartooth pass so that I could make a snowman, but the snow was so wet and freezing so we just had a snowball fight instead.
At the rest stop there was some really friendly chipmunks and we spent about 30 minutes just watching Alex follow them around, it was adorable.
After the pass we went to a wildlife reserve in town. This place was greater than any zoo, and because it was father's day weekend, Tyler got in for free! All the animals there had been injured or abandoned as babies and grown up around humans. They couldn't be relased back into the wild for a variety of reasons and so they got to live there in these really nice habitats.
