As we left Yellowstone we were about done. Camping in the rain with kids for a week was a lot more fun than it sounds, but after someone had an accident in a sleeping bag, we just wanted to get home and never put those 30 year old tent poles together again.
We drove through Teton National Park, and of course it was cloudy and rainy.
The good news was that it gave us a little more time to stop at Bear Lake!
The kids decided this was the best part of the vacation by far. We had taken them through 3 National Parks and shown them things that people travel from all over the world to see, and all they cared about was playing in the sand.
We paid a few dollors to drive up to the beach on the North side of the lake and spent a few hours just being free.
The water is such a beautiful blue and we had beat the rain clouds so it was warm and wonderful.
Quinn compltetly entertained herself the entire time. She knew her boundaries and wouldn't wander in the water past her knees, then she would go and lay in the sand.
She was so much fun to watch.
Daddy buried each of the girls and then they wanted to bury him. What a good Dad.
I'm thinking next time we just come here for a week.
Before we left the girls had to play sea turtle. They requested we dig a hole so they could climb up out of it and crawl tot he beach. This little turtle got confused and is crawling the wrong way.
We grabbed some raspberry shakes and burgers and drove on toward Provo.
We made it to Park city just as a crazy lightning storm showed up and got to Provo Canyon just as a downpour hit. We were so happy to be home!
